The GENERAL mailing list automatically delivers updates to keep you informed.
The P&C originally started their mailing list as a Yahoo Group on 14 Dec 2002.
In February 2011, the MLSHS (not the P&C) started using mailing lists. To be clear...
The P&C runs a GENERAL mailing list. All parents are encouraged to subscribe to this list.
In addition to this, MLSHS (not the P&C) run a multitude of specialist mailing lists; eg, for Music, SVAPA, Languages, etc
GENERAL MAILING LIST (run by the MLSHS P&C)
This is the mailing list that we urge all parents and interested parties to join.
Being informed does not mean being involved, though your involvement will be appreciated :<)
By subscribing, you will be kept you informed of:
- Important information on your child's schooling
- Upcoming events
- MLSHS Fortnightly Flyer (don't have to rely on your kids bringing it home!)
- Meetings, minutes & agendas
Typically there are about 40 emails sent each year. So you are not going to be deluged with masses of mail.
SUBSCRIBING TO (joining) the GENERAL mailing list is as simple as sending an email to
mail-subscribe@mlshspc.org.au
Clicking on the above link should bring up your mail program; then all you need to do it press SEND.
You will not receive a confirming email, but you will receive future messages to the list.
UNSUBSCRIBING FROM the GENERAL mailing list is as simple as sending an email to
mail-unsubscribe@mlshspc.org.au
Clicking on the above link should bring up your mail program; then all you need to do it press SEND.
There will also be an unsubscribe link in each email that you receive.
Note: You need to send the "unsubscribe"email from the same email address as you subscribed.

MLSHS (NOT P&c) MAILING LISTS
Parents with children in specialist areas (eg, Music, SVAPA, Languages) need to subcribe to the respective mailing lists on the MLSHS web site. These mailing lists are used to conveniently deliver important information about these programs (no notes to home lost with students). It would also be convenient for the students themselves to join these mailing lists.
